Dr Lauren French has a Comprehensive Ophthalmology practice with an interest in Cataract surgery and minor Oculoplastics. She received her Honours Bachelor of Science degree (HBSc) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2007. She then graduated from the University of Ottawa School of Medicine (MD) in 2012 and completed her residency in Ophthalmology at McGill University in 2017 where she was awarded the Resident Cataract Surgery Skills Award in her graduating year.
Dr French is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is a member of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and the Ontario Medical Association.
Dr French feels very fortunate to be able to come back to her hometown and has been in practice in Ottawa since August 2018. She provides ophthalmological care in both English and French and maintains hospital privileges at Montfort Hospital as well as at Hawkesbury General Hospital where she performs minor surgical procedures.
